""I recently have had the honor and pleasure of working at Lisalates. My first observation was how charming and beautiful the studio was! It is a quintessential Nantucket cottage! Tucked back off the beaten path with flowers and birds and a sweet resident, cat. Its truly a haven! Then I met Lisa, her loving, bright and friendly personality parallels the outer appearance of the charming cottage. The second observation I had was that of her students. Besides how warm and welcoming they are I immediately noticed their form and technique, flawless!! I have never seen students move, truly, move with the correct initiation and flow. I was amazed and so excited to be spending the summer with them. Over the summer Lisa and I developed a friendship! She always had time to chat with me, whether it be about movement methodology or about life and the funny things it brings. Through her coaching style she facilitates friendships and camaraderie. She empowers students to be better and stronger. She carries a passion for movement and it shows. It was truly the best experience of my pilates career to work at Lisalates. I got to do what I love, learned so much and made some great friends while doing it"" - Tara Taylor, summer guest teacher, 2012
